36X48X1.5" Acrylic & Spray Paint, Recycled Plastic Wrap, Water Bottles, & Plastic Drink Carrier on Canvas
Artist Statement: "This is one of my favorite pieces in the collection. The use of refurbished materials is something I work to implement into as many art pieces as I can. The leaves are cut up plastic water bottles that were then morphed with fire. The vines are made out of the plastic ring carriers that come with bottled/canned drinks. The rocky texture on the canvas is created with the plastic wrap that the canvas came in. The use of plastic all around the world is detrimental to global warming. Below I have listed some facts about plastic pollution that I hope enlighten others about our abundant waste consumption. My goal is to help motivate people to consume less plastic, and reuse materials as much as possible!"
